The Ben Affleck Internet Fanclub The Story
March 15, 1998 was the debut of Double Trouble: The Matt Damon & Ben Affleck Internet Fanclub, the first fansite that gave equal billing to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. After merely a few weeks on the internet, Double Trouble was named one of the best fan sites on the WWW and was published in Maxine Diamond's book, 'A Biography: Matt Damon,' as the 4th best website. Eventually the webmistress of Double Trouble was given the opportunity to work on BenAffleck.com and MattDamon.com Friday, July 24, 1998 marked the grand opening of the domain http://www.BenAffleck.com. An unofficial fansite and home of the Ben Affleck Internet Fanclub, BenAffleck.com burst onto the scene almost out of nowhere. An unplanned project, it was a privilege as much as it was a challenge to be afforded the opportunity to work on the website.
