Giorgio Armani To Dress Golden Globe Participants

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Giorgio Armani will dress many nominees, presenters and guests of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's 56th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The show will be broadcast Sunday, January 24th, 1999, on NBC and will air live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills.
"Ally McBeal's" alter-ego Calista Flockhart, nominated for best actress in a television comedy, selected a Giorgio Armani navy blue beaded organza sleeveless gown with a boat neck and sheer back.
Keri Russell, star of "Felicity", chose an orange handkerchief top and an orange beaded floor length skirt with a tulle overlay. She is nominated for best actress in a television drama.
Producer of the multi-nominated Showtime movie "The Baby Dance", Jodie Foster has also selected Giorgio Armani. She will wear a pale grey with charcoal beading multi-layer silk and tulle gown with spaghetti straps.
Michelle Pfeiffer will be wearing a pale apricot strapless beaded top with a pale apricot multi-layered organza and tulle skirt. She will attend with her husband, David E. Kelley, creator of the multi-nominated series "Ally McBeal" and "The Practice". Kelley will wear a black Giorgio Armani tuxedo.
Faye Dunaway, nominated for best supporting actress in a motion picture made for television for her work on "Gia", will wear a black silk Giorgio Armani tuxedo pantsuit.
Best actor nominees who have selected Giorgio Armani tuxedos include Tom Hanks, who is nominated for his role in "Saving Private Ryan", Nick Nolte, nominated for "Affliction", and Robin Williams, nominated for his work on "Patch Adams."
Ed Harris, nominated for best supporting actor for the film "The Truman Show", selected a black wool crepe three-button tuxedo. He will attend with his wife, actress Amy Madigan, who will be wearing a brown velvet Giorgio Armani suit.
Geoffrey Rush, also nominated for best supporting actor for his work on "Shakespeare in Love", chose Giorgio Armani for the evening. He will wear a black, single-breasted, one-button, shawl-collar tuxedo with a black vest.
Presenters Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Ben Stiller and Sean Connery have all selected Giorgio Armani tuxedos.
Presenter Freddie Prinze, Jr., "Felicity's" Scott Speedman, and Steve Harris from "The Practice" will all wear tuxedos by Emporio Armani.
Golden Globe attendees and presenters Annette Bening, Tim Robbins and Matthew Broderick will all be wearing outfits by Giorgio Armani.
